Diseases that FIR Can Help

According to Dr. Sircus MD…”During the last decade, a silent revolution has been taking place in Japan in the fields of healing, preservation, cooking, drying and heating. It is the use and application of safe and efficient Far Infrared (FIR) Wave technology, replacing the potentially harmful micro wave technology.

The adaptive capacity of a cell ultimately determines its fate when it comes under stress. Far infrared treatments reduce the stress on the cells by not only nourishing them with light and heat but also by increasing nutritional sufficiency of oxygen and by increasing cellular respiration so more toxins and wastes leave the cells. More good things come in and bad things go out.”

Use of FIR Therapeutic devices is an important part of our light based  Photo-Bio-Modulation Therapeutic Protocols and sessions.

ElectroMeds MegaPulse PEMF

ElectroMeds PEMF for SomaVeda® Thai Yoga, Ayurveda and Natural Medicine Practitioners

We have been using PEMF (Pulsed Electro-magnetic Field Therapy) devices and technologies for over 30 years as functional medicine adjuncts to the SomaVeda Integrated Traditional Therapies® Thai Yoga, Ayurveda and or Natural Medicine protocols. PEMF and the other Bio-Magnetic Therapeutic Protocols have never let us down. We integrate them for a countless list of interventions that add to and supplement the many benefits of the SomaVeda® Thai Yoga protocols for wellness and healing. They are safe and non-invasive, adverse side effects are minimal or non-existent. PEMF can be used safely on everyone!

One of our recommended providers is ElectroMeds. They are able to provide professional “entry to mid range” devices that are powerful enough for clinical use, but cost effective to not break the bank! We use most of the devices ourselves in our Natural Wellness Solutions Clinic. We also demonstrate these devices and the use in SomaVeda® T.A.L.E.R. protocols in our Pro Certification courses, programs and or SCNM College Degrees.

Somaveda® Table Thai Yoga: Just because we are indigenous and traditional does not mean we are not innovative! SomaVeda® applications and procedures for the massage table are found in all levels of professional certificate and Ayurveda programs.

Featuring innovative work on the translation and adaptation of traditional SomaVeda® position treatment methods for the ‘ Modern Massage Table. This beautiful Thai Yoga Table Massage was first demonstrated by Dr. Anthony James nationally in the US in 1991 at the AOBTA (American Oriental Bodywork Therapy Association) National conference in New Orleans.

Unlike using the Thai Yoga Massage Mats or futon style mat, this work is appropriate for the work place, corporate and/ or industrial settings as well as conventional yoga therapy, Ayurveda treatment and Massage Therapy venues.

SomaVeda® Thai Yoga Table Massage incorporates virtually every conceivable Seated Thai Yoga Massage and Yoga Therapy technique, Asana and Vinyasana. Learn how to do all the primary Thai Massage flows, using the Massage Therapy table for advantage and leverage. Thai Yoga Table reduces and or eliminates repetitive stress resulting from common massage practice.

This is very similar work to that practiced in virtually all of the 160 plus Veterans Hospitals in Thailand. We also incorporate methods given to us by Grand Master Anantasuk of the Anantasuk Thai Massage school famous for their programs at the Wiangklaikangwan Industrial college under patronage of the Thai King and Royal family. Dr. Anthony B. James is a recognized Aachan in the Anantasuk school and Wat Po Association of Thai Traditional Medical Schools. Dr. James is also a Thai UTTS (Union of Thai Traditional Medicine Society) Lifetime Licensed Traditional Thai Doctor!

It is good that our traditions have deep and ancient roots with elders and teachers who have lived the life of healers, traditional doctors and therapist for centuries, literally. They are our role models. We do not have to reinvent the wheel of success in what we do by ourselves. Only our current life situations and perhaps cultural considerations are unique. But what we are doing in life is not new or unique. We can learn from our elders and these lessons and qualities I am recommending you cultivate don’t originate with me personally but they are passed down to us by previous generations of healers who chose to practice true medicine as a way of life for their whole life!
Please share these courses with your professional friends!

TAELR- Tool Assisted Energy Line Release

According to PHYSIOPEDIA “Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation or Simply IASTM is a new range of tool which enables clinicians to efficiently locate and treat individuals diagnosed with soft tissue dysfunction. The technique itself is said to be a modern evolution from Traditional Chinese Medicine called Gua Sha[1].However Gua Sha was not used to treat Musculoskeletal conditions but was traditionally applied along meridiens to move the bad chi out through the skin. IASTM is a is a procedure that is rapidly growing in popularity due to its effectiveness and efficiency while remaining non-invasive,with its own indications and limitations.”

However Physiopedia although correct is incorrect to ascribe the use of tools in therapy exclusively to traditional Chinese Medicine! Using tools in medical therapy is first recorded in the classics of Indian and Thai Ayurveda … the Sushruta Samhita recorded Ayuvedic Physician using a great variety of instruments to supplement the use of their bare hands over four thousand years ago.

In our indigenous traditional way of thinking we make no defined distinction separating the body into physical and or energetic quanta. We see no clear distinction at all. Fascial Planes= Energy Lines and vise versa. Additionally in the western variations there is little or no emphasis on the traditional Hammer and Probe type of technique which is consider vital in our traditional medicine.

This treatment strategy and protocol is useful for therapist who are seeking to use their hands less as the primary tools or expression of their healing arts… Through the use of the various instruments one may do entire sessions and treatments Hands Free!

Example of a SomaVeda® T.A.E.L.R. protocol for treating Plantar Fascitis

A derivative of the traditional oriental techniques becoming popular in western medical physiopathy are called “Graston®, Fascial Abrasion Technique® etc.”

In this course we introduce and explain all of the traditional tools used in TAELR™ practice and with live demonstration practice exchanges building application competencies. Students through lecture and in-class learning environment improve understanding of indications, contraindications and clinical applications for common conditions and issues. Additionally, students are introduced to the protocol as a form of Complimentary and Integrative Medicine Practice in the context of a modern Religious Therapeutic modality suitable for ministers of traditional medicine practice.

In the SomaVeda® TAELR™ Certification Course the practitioner receives certification as a Certified SomaVeda® TAELR™  Technician.

We introduce the SomaVeda® TAELR™ protocol in the Ayurveda LifeStyle Consultant (CTP2) module. Further training is offered in the Ayurveda Health Counselor and SomaVeda® Yoga Therapist and Teacher Certification Certification Programs. Advanced training is offered once a year in Brooksville, FL at the Thai Yoga Center during the Annual Advanced and Teacher Conference and twice a year during our ongoing programs in Thailand (December and April annually).
