Julie James has devoted the past eight years to mastering SomaVeda Integrated Traditional Therapies®, Thai Yoga, Native American Medicine and Ceremony, Ayurveda, Yoga Therapy, Holistic Health, Natural Medicine, Holistic Gynecology, and Women’s Fertility Issues. She has completed over 7,100 hours of extensive training and education, including clinical practice. She has obtained Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Practitioner Certifications in SomaVeda® Thai Yoga Therapy and has personally apprenticed under Ajahn, Dr. Anthony B. James D.N.M. (C), N.D. (Traditional), M.D. (AM). She is also a Director and co-founder of the Native American Indigenous Church Inc. (N.A.I.C.). Julie’s father is an enrolled Sac and Fox Sioux Tribal Nation member.

Julie also received a Certified Teacher in SomaVeda® Thai Yoga Therapy and Ayurveda.

Julie graduated with honors from the SomaVeda Institute of Natural Health, Holistic Health Provider Ayurveda Program in September 2007.

Current Projects:

Currently Director of Patient and Clinical Services at the Thai Yoga Center and American College of Natural Medicine. Chief Instructor Clinical Nutrition and Women’s Health Studies. Additionally, Dr. James is the office administrator and housing coordinator.

Administrative supervisor for Apprentice Practitioner programs for all full-time residential students in the American College of Natural Medicine and Thai Yoga Center.

Counsels and co-facilitates treatment using Native American Spiritually based and Natural Medicine protocols in the clinic with Dr. Anthony James.

An Ordained Minister/ Clerical Medical Advisor and Counselor for the Native American Indigenous Church (N.A.I.C.). Julie is also an ordained healer,  minister, and practitioner of Ministry Therapeutica whose systems of beliefs, practices, and teachings on health, healing, and medicine are metaphysical (supernatural), associated with ancient, hidden, initiatory, and extant spiritual paths and magical traditions that are preserved in the old wisdom schools. As an ordained minister, Dr. Julie James performs all church services. This includes spiritual counseling, healing work, readings, performing weddings, baptisms, funeral services, and other traditional religious roles. Membership Director and membership Administrator for N.A.I.C., Inc., a State of Florida, Not for Profit, IRS 508 C(1) an FBO, Church-Religious/ Native American Tribal Organization. Handles all day-to-day membership-related administrative roles for N.A.I.C.

She has professionally co-presented over 40 professional certification seminars in SomaVeda® Traditional Thai Medical Massage Therapy.

Co-owns and operates the Web Domain and WebSite “ThaiMassage.Com” and “ThaiYogaCenter.Com.” These websites represent international resource centers for Traditional Thai Arts, Yoga, Ayurveda, Massage, and Medicine. More than 50,000 thousand unique visitors a month. ThaiMassage.Com and ThaiYogaCenter.Com have provided information on Thai Yoga, Thai Massage, and Thai culture to over 15 million visitors since opening in 1995. These websites and resource centers are the largest and most active on the internet today and are currently in one of the top five positions on all major search engines and indexes.

Current competency-based educational programs co-designed and co-facilitated by Dr. Julie James:

1) Certified Thai Yoga Practitioner Programs (CTP1, A.L.C., A.H.C., A.Y.T., TCP) are individual 164 to 200-hour intensive residential training programs at the beginner, intermediate and advanced levels of practice. C.T.P. programs are the most comprehensive professional certification programs for Ayurvedic Thai Yoga in the U.S. To date, more than 20,000 students have completed one or more
components of the C.T.P.s.

2) The SomaVeda® Thai Yoga and SomaVeda® Thai Yoga Teacher Certification Program (TCP). An 1000+ hour
residential, professional Teacher training and certification program.

4) The Doctor of Sacred Natural Medicine/ Doctor of Sacred Naturopathy (DSNM/ SND) Diploma Program. A four-year Doctoral program co-facilitated with the PanAmerican College of Natural Medicine (Nevis, West Indies). The initial 1400 hours in this 5200-hour program are on-site in the U.S. The balance of hours is in a distance learning environment with residential clinical requirements and graduation via the Pan-American School of Natural Medicine and campus.

She is currently working on co-developing the new Doctor of Ayurveda Therapeutics Diploma program to be jointly administered with the American College of Natural Medicine and Pan American School of Natural Medicine (Nevis, West Indies/ Ecuador).
