(Southern Method, A six to ten-day program) Continuing the work begun in SomaVeda® Indigenous Thai Yoga Level One. The student is introduced to the 50-plus indigenous, traditional therapeutic Asana. The SomaVeda® Therapeutic Day concept and session protocol incorporates the seven additional Vinyasa, flowing sequences or treatment algorithms, and other practices in the meditation and healing forms of the oldest, original, and most traditional Wat Po or Wat Chetaphon-based method. In this class, we honor Indigenous, Traditional Thai Massage, Traditional Thai Medicine, and Thai Ayurveda religious therapeutics by keeping the strict traditional Thai Healing Vinyasa and flows alive in their most traditional form. More commonly known as the Southern or Royal Method, we explore variations from three recognized or time-honored Royal traditions: Buddhai Sawan, Wat Po, and Anantasuk schools. This course is an indigenous Ayurveda and Yoga Therapy training and certification program. It is required for SomaVeda® Thai Yoga Therapy Practitioner and SomaVeda® Thai Yoga Therapy Teacher certification.

Level Two is required for the SomaVeda® Thai Yoga Practitioner Certificate Program.

This SomaVeda® Indigenous Ayurvedic Thai Yoga Therapy course is predominately hands-on, with a thorough introduction to the underlying philosophy and energy theory. “Sip Sen,” the Ten principle Sen or Nadis and the Seven Chakra. Basic Western anatomy and physiology as it applies to SomaVeda® Thai Yoga are introduced now. Ayurveda core concepts of balancing Dosha for Vata, Pitta, and Kapha are practiced.

Instruction includes all seven traditional attitudes: Supine, Side Lying, Prone, Second Supine, and Seated Positions: The complete SomaVeda® Therapeutic Day Protocol. Seven Different therapeutic Asana or sessions. Ayurveda Nutrition and Lifestyle approach to maintaining optimum health and over 150 individual Asana or restorative postures. We emphasize the integration of emotional balancing (B.E.T.) and clinical applications for significant diseases such as Cancer, Diabetes, Heart Disease, and various soft tissue disorders and syndromes. Specific treatment protocols appropriate for indigenous and traditional practitioners are practiced.

This course focuses on using Puja or therapeutic affirmations and Mantras in the healing process as initially introduced in the SomaVeda® Level One course. The SomaVeda® student learns to move the body without effort and specific postures for specific imbalances. The role of the breath in partnership within the therapeutic encounter is discussed and practiced intently. Engine.

We look in depth at the historical roots of the treatment philosophy. All SomaVeda® Thai Yoga Classes begin with daily Hatha Yoga or SomaVeda® Thai Reishi Yoga (Reusi Dottan) meditation and practice. By the conclusion of this program, we expect the student to show knowledge, understanding, and skill in the basic techniques of SomaVeda® Thai Yoga. ( 48 to 100 Hr. Practice credit available.)
