Why does legality of practice rights matter? Conventional bodywork licenses require ongoing state board compliance, renewal fees, and leave practitioners vulnerable to regulatory closures, and extreme limitations on scope of practice. Some states literally define "Massage Therapy" as essentially "Rubbing on people for money" and specifically constrain any practice of "Massage Therapy" for any medical or medical-conditional use altogether.
