Current Statistics indicate that nearly 1 out of every 7 or 8 women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime. Breast cancer is the leading cause of death in women between the ages of 35 and 54.

We feel that as Ministers, Healers, Therapists and Doctors that we have an obligation from spirit to address any issues that cause pain and suffering of mind, body and spirit. Issues of breast health, prevention and maintenance strategies are of concern to us all. In this course as practitioners of Chirothesia Health Care and the Medicine of Hope™, do not diagnose or prescribe for medical or psychological conditions nor claim to prevent, treat, mitigate or cure such conditions.

The Breast Care and Therapy educational program developed by Dr. Anthony James is intended to educate professional therapists in the major theories and information regarding natural and safe complementary preventive treatment protocol for breast health issues. Issues addressed possible benefits of SomaVeda™ therapies reducing and or preventing risk factors and symptoms in breast related disorders; i.e. Breast Cancer, Fibrylmalgia, FibryCystitus, Myalgia’s, Neuritus, Lymphadema, swelling, sensitivity and unwarranted soreness, Scar Tissue Contracture related to Breast Augmentation and Implants and Reconstructive Surgery, as well as “so called” breast related or “breast caused” back pain.

A seven step SomaVeda® protocol will be covered for implementing a professional, Therapeutic Breast Massage and Breast Care & Therapy Program. Hands on techniques of Decongestive Physiotherapy, Manual Lymph Drainage, Compression, Acupressure, Therapeutic Exercise, Skin Care and application of adjunct therapies will be covered in detail along with principles of risk reduction. Indications, contraindications and possible side effects of the protocol will be covered, along with propriety, ethical and legal issues.

The risk factors, issues of breast augmentation, circulatory factors of deficiency and toxemia, suppressed lymphatic activity and, brassiere related adverse heat and pressure. Course includes anatomical and physiological focus of relevant region of the body. Self care breast massage for client’s home use will also be covered.

Additional information is provided on the spiritual, emotional roots, causal factors and traditional energetic and spiritually based ways of addressing this and similar issues. The use of prayers and traditional meditation from various sources such as Thai Vipassana, Classical India Ayurveda, Native American Church etc. coupled with ritual, sacremental and earth based ceremony will be explained and demonstrated. Additionally, participants will be eligible to participate in Native American ceremony for restoration of healing connection to Mother Earth. Ceremonial instruction and offerings are provided by the ONACS (Oklevueha Native American Church branch SomaVeda).

Do to the nature of this hands on course and in recognition of all propriety and modesty issues, a signed waiver/ informed consent will be required for participation. Pre-requisite: participants must be at least 21 years old, currently enrolled in a professional yoga and or therapeutic certification program and or be currently licensed/ certified. Pre-requisite: participants must be currently enrolled in a professional certification program and/or be currently licensed or certified.

SomaVeda® Thai Yoga Massage Breast Massage instruction is offered as a module for our Certified Thai Practitioner (CTP), Certified Thai Teacher (TCP). (Total possible hours CEU’s at this time 20hrs.)
